Before you do anything else, check the label on your sunscreen to see if it has any special instructions for removing it from clothing. If it does not have instructions, proceed with the steps described below.
Take a paper towel or a rag and wet it with cold water. Gently dab stain to moisten it without pushing substance further into fabric. Do not rub or scrub the fabric as this could damage the delicate material.
Create a solution of warm water and a few drops of detergent or mild soap. Dip or pour the solution on the stain, lightly scrubbing it with your fingers. Next, rinse the fabric with cold water to remove the solution and the stain. Continue this process until stain disappears.
After the stain has been removed, take a clean dry towel and gently blot the area to remove any remaining moisture. Hang the fabric up to dry naturally or use a cool iron if needed.
After the stain has been removed and the fabric has dried completely, wash double georgette as usual with a mild detergent. Avoid using bleach or any harsh chemicals on the fabric.
Once the fabric is washed, hang it up to dry or use a cool iron on the reverse side of fabric. Make sure that the fabric is dry before you start ironing.
