Before you panic, try to gently scrub the stains away using a soft cloth or brush. This might be enough to remove the stain, but if not, move on to step two.
Make a paste by combining equal parts of detergent and white vinegar. You can also use a commercial stain remover as well. Apply the paste or stain remover to the stained area, and let it sit for an hour or two before rinsing with cold water. If stain isn’t gone after this step, move onto step three.
If the stain is still present after steps one and two, you have to do a deep clean. Fill a bucket with lukewarm water and add a few teaspoons of laundry detergent to it. Gently soak the fabric for about 30-45 minutes, then rinse with cold water. Hang it up and let it dry in the sun.
