Summer is finally here and you're ready to get outside and get a sun-kissed glow. You've packed all the essentials - sunscreen, sunglasses, and of course, a few crop tops! But, unfortunately, sunscreen stains can ruin a perfectly good outfit. Don't worry though - we've got some tips and tricks to help you get that pesky stain out.

Gather the Supplies You'll Need

To remove a tanning lotion stain, you'll need a few supplies. These include:

  • Liquid laundry detergent
  • White vinegar
  • A white cloth or sponge
  • A bucket or sink filled with cool water

How to Remove the Stain

Start by pre-treating the affected area with some liquid laundry detergent. Use a white cloth or sponge to gently rub the detergent into the stained area. Let detergent sit for several minutes so that it can work its magic before rinsing it off with cool water.

If stain is still there, you may need to treat the area with some white vinegar. Dip a clean white cloth or sponge into a bucket or sink filled with one part water and one part white vinegar. Gently rub the area with the cloth or sponge. When you're done, rinse the area with cool water.

Once you've finished, throw the clothing in the washing machine. Be sure to read care instructions before washing the clothing to ensure you don't damage it. After the crop top comes out of the washing machine, it should be good as new!
