The key to removing suntan lotion stains from crepe is to act quickly. The longer you wait, the harder it will be for you to remove the spot. Start by gently blotting away any excess lotion with a cloth or towel. Then, pour a small amount of natural dish soap onto the stain and lightly rub in a circular motion. After that, rinse the area with cold water. If the stain persists, mix a teaspoon of white vinegar and a teaspoon of warm water together and gently brush it over the stain. This should do the trick.
If the stain is particularly stubborn, try adding a tiny bit of hydrogen peroxide and scrubbing. This can help to break down the oils in the suntan lotion and lift stain. Once the stain is gone, rinse area with cold water again and dry with a towel. You may have to repeat these steps multiple times to effectively remove the stain.
Finally, when the stain has been removed, you may want to add a fabric protection spray to the area to help prevent future stains from developing. Be sure to follow the directions on the can carefully, as too much of the product may damage your clothes.
No one wants to go to the beach and come home with stained clothing. With the right technique and a little bit of elbow grease, you can easily remove those lotion stains and keep your crepe looking great!
