Steps for Removing Tanning Lotion Stains from Cotton Poplin
- Begin by blotting the affected area with a clean cloth or sponge soaked in cold water.
- Fill a bucket with lukewarm water, add a squirt of gentle liquid laundry detergent and mix until the detergent is completely dissolved.
- Soak the stained area of the fabric in the detergent solution for 10 minutes. Do not rub the fabric against itself.
- Gently rub the stained area with a soft bristled brush in a circular motion.
- Rinse the fabric with cold water.
- If necessary, repeat the above steps until the stain has been removed.
- Once stain has been removed, wash the garment as normal in cold water.
- Finally, hang the garment to dry.
