What You Will Need:

  • Laundry detergent
  • A Stain Remover
  • A Brush
  • White Vinegar
  • A Bucket

How to Remove the Stain:

  1. Mix together one cup of laundry detergent and one cup of white vinegar in a bucket.
  2. Fill bucket with warm water and stir the contents until everything is dissolved.
  3. Soak the stained area of the cotton lawn in the solution for at least an hour.
  4. Remove the cotton lawn from mixture and rub a stain remover or pre-treatment solution into the stained area.
  5. Use a brush to scrub the stained area and work the product into the fabric.
  6. Once you feel like you have treated the stain adequately, rinse out the product with cold water.
  7. Once you are finished, wash the cotton lawn in the washing machine in cold water.
  8. Allow the cotton lawn to air dry.

Additional Tips:

  • If stain persists after the initial treatment, repeat steps four through eight.
  • Do not use hot water, as this can cause the stain to set further into the fabric.
  • Be sure to test any cleaning product you use on an inconspicuous area of the fabric first, to make sure there is no discoloration.
