It’s the middle of summer and you’re out enjoying the warm weather. Nothing says summer quite like lying in the sun and getting a tan. But with all that fun in the sun comes the occasional problem – suntan lotion stains! Luckily, there’s no need to worry, as removing suntan lotion stains is relatively simple.

How to Clean Suntan Lotion Stains from Collared Shirts:

  1. Start by blotting the stain with a damp cloth or paper towel.
  2. Apply prewash stain remover to the stain, rub it in with the cloth and let sit for 10-15 minutes.
  3. Make a solution of ¼ cup of liquid detergent and one quart of warm water and mix. Soak the shirt for 15 minutes.
  4. Rinse the shirt in cold water.
  5. Place the shirt in the washing machine and wash according to directions. Avoid using hot water, as this may set the stain.

Following these steps should make light work of any tough Suntan lotion stains and make your collared shirts pristine again.
