When suntan lotion accidentally rubs off on your Coach accessories, it's important to clean the stain as soon as possible. Suntan lotion is oil-based, which means that if left alone, it will be harder to remove later on.
When removing suntan lotion stains from Coach, choose household products that are specifically designed for leather cleaning — these are usually found in leather care kits. Products such as saddle and leather soaps, mink oil, and leather lotions all work well.
Once you've chosen a cleaner, apply it gently to the affected area with a soft cloth or brush. Work the cleaner in circles for a few minutes, then wipe away any excess product.
If the stain still remains after the first application, repeat process. However, if stain persists, you may have to take your Coach accessories to a professional cleaner.
Once the stain has been removed, it's important to take steps to prevent similar damage occurring in the future. Be sure to store your Coach accessories away from direct sunlight and keep your suntan lotion out of reach — this way, you'll be able to enjoy them for years to come.
