Using rubbing alcohol is one of the easiest and most effective cleaning methods. Start by dampening a cloth or paper towel with rubbing alcohol and rub the affected area. Repeat this process if the stain persists. Make sure to use only a small amount of rubbing alcohol, as too much can damage the material. Once you're done, dry the clogs with a clean rag.
Create a sudsy mixture using detergent and warm water. Dip a soft bristled brush into the solution and gently scrub the stained area. Rinse with cold water, and then dry with a clean cloth.
Making a paste out of baking soda and water is an effective way to remove tough suntan lotion stains. Mix together two parts baking soda and one part water until a thick paste forms. Apply the paste to the stained area and let it sit for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, use a soft bristled brush to scrub the paste off. Rinse the area with cold water and then dry with a clean cloth.
Vinegar is another great cleaning agent for clog stains. Make a solution of one part white vinegar and two parts warm water and dip a cloth into the solution. Wipe stained area with the cloth and then rinse off with cold water. Let the clogs air dry before wearing them.
