Step 1: Prepare Your Supplies

To begin, you’ll need to gather the following supplies:

  • Laundry detergent
  • White vinegar
  • Hydrogen peroxide
  • Soft cloth
  • Toothbrush

Step 2: Pre-Treat the Stain

For this step, you’ll want to moisten the stain with lukewarm water then apply a small amount of laundry detergent, directly onto stain. Allow the detergent to sit on stained area for about 10 minutes before moving on to the next step.

Step 3: Wash the Garment

Once pre-treatment is complete, it’s time to wash your Calvin Klein garment. Follow the instructions on the care tag to ensure you’re washing your item properly. Be sure to set the temperature to cold, as hot water may cause the stain to set into the fabric. For best results, use a gentle cycle and either color-safe bleach or oxy-based powder detergent.

Step 4: Spot Treatment

Still seeing a stain? You may need to do a spot treatment. Begin by mixing equal parts white vinegar and water in a bowl or cup. Use a soft cloth to dab the solution onto stain until the fabric stops showing signs of discoloration. Rinse the area with lukewarm water, and allow to air dry.

Step 5: Repeat the Process

If the stain still remains, don’t fret. You can now try a more powerful solution. Using a toothbrush, mix 1 teaspoon of hydrogen peroxide with 2 teaspoons of water. Gently scrub the area with the toothbrush and hydrogen peroxide solution. Allow the garment to sit for 10 minutes before rinsing with lukewarm water. If needed, repeat the process. Lastly, launder the item once more, to ensure that all of stain has been removed.
