Instructions for Removing Suntan Lotion Stains from Briefs
- Before attempting to remove the suntan lotion stain, read the care label on briefs to determine if they are washable in a washing machine.
- For lightly soiled briefs, soak affected area in cool water with a few drops of liquid detergent for 30 minutes.
- Gently rub the stained area with your fingertips, then rinse thoroughly.
- If stain persists, make a paste of 2 parts water and 1 part baking soda. Use a cloth or soft brush to apply the paste gently to the stain and let it sit for 10 minutes.
- Rinse the briefs thoroughly and check for the stain. If the stain has not totally vanished, repeat the steps above until the stain has been removed.
- When stain is gone, leave the briefs to air dry naturally.
Tips For Preventing Suntan Lotion Stains On Briefs
- When applying suntan lotion, wear a t-shirt or other loose clothing that won't touch briefs if possible.
- Rinse the affected area of the briefs immediately with cold water after contact with suntan lotion.
