If the stains are still fresh and wet, it’s easiest to use a dry cloth or paper towels to remove as much of lotion as possible. Then, take a damp cloth and lightly sponge over the area to remove any remaining residue. Allow the shoe to air dry before wearing them again.
For tougher, older stains, the best way to tackle them is to use a mixture of water and mild detergent. Dip a clean rag in the solution, then gently scrub the stained area. Once stain is gone, rinse the area with clean water and allow it to air dry. You can also spot clean the area with special cleaning products made specifically for suede or fabric shoes.
Vinegar is another great option to remove suntan lotion stains. First, mix equal parts white vinegar and cold water in a bowl. Dip a cloth into the solution and gently rub the stained area. Rinse with clean water and then let shoe air dry.
The best way to keep suntan lotion stains off your ASICS is to prevent them from happening in the first place! To do this, use a waterproof protective spray to coat the Shoes in a sealant. This will help repel water and oils from the lotions you wear.

It depends on the age of the stains. For fresh stains, use a dry cloth or paper towels to remove as much of the lotion as possible followed by a damp cloth to lightly sponge over the area. For older stains, a mixture of water and mild detergent or white vinegar can be used to scrub away the mess. Always dry the shoes completely with a clean cloth before using them again.
