It's summertime, and that means it’s time to break out the sunscreen! Unfortunately, these handy lotions can sometimes leave behind stubborn stains on acrylic surfaces. The good news is that removing excess suntan lotion from acrylic doesn’t require any specialist tools or materials — just a few simple supplies you probably already have in your home.

Before you start cleaning off the lotion from acrylic surface, make sure you gather up the supplies that you’ll need. For this project, you should have following items available:
The first part of removing the stain involves blotting it away. Take a clean paper towel and lightly press down onto the stain, taking care not to rub or scrub. This will pull away some of the excess lotion and help dissolve it. Be sure to switch out paper towels as they become saturated with the lotion.
Next, prepare a gentle cleaning solution by mixing together a few drops of liquid dish soap with a cup of distilled white vinegar. Stir the mixture together until combined and then transfer it to a clean spray bottle (or any other kind of container that has a lid).
Spray the stain with cleaning solution you prepared earlier. You only need to use a small amount, so don’t overdo it. Once the solution has been applied, let it sit for several minutes.
After the cleaner has had a chance to work its magic, take a soft cloth and slowly wipe away the stain. Be sure to use a circular motion and avoid rubbing or scrubbing too hard. If necessary, you can add a few drops of liquid soap to the cloth for extra cleaning power.
Finish off the cleaning process by rinsing acrylic surface with water and then drying it with a clean cloth. You could also use a microfiber cloth to buff the acrylic and give it a nice shine.
With these steps, you can quickly and easily remove suntan lotion stains from acrylic surfaces without much effort!
