In order to remove suntan lotion stains from abaya, you need to act quickly. The longer you wait, the more difficult it will be to get out stain. Follow steps below for best results.
Once you notice the stain, take a clean cloth and gently blot the area. This will help to absorb any excess suntan lotion that has not been absorbed into the fabric.
Once you have blotted the stain, you can apply a pre-treating product directly to the area. Use a pre-treating solution that is designed to break down the oils found in suntan lotion. Allow the product to sit on the stain for a few minutes before continuing.
Once you have pre-treated the stain, it’s time to wash the abaya. Read the care label on your abaya to determine the best cleaning option for fabric type. If possible, hand wash the garment in cool water with a mild detergent. Allow the garment to air dry after washing.
If the stain is still present after washing, repeat the pre-treating and washing process as many times as needed until the stain is no longer visible.
