Sparkling wine is practically synonymous with celebrations and special occasions. But unfortunately, so are the inevitable stains that come with it. Whether you’re celebrating something special or just enjoying a glass during dinner, sparkling wine can inadvertently end up adding some unexpected “decorations” to your clothes courtesy of Zara’s stores.

The good news is that there are several methods for removing stubborn sparkling wine stains from your favorite Zara clothing. Keep reading to find out how to effectively get rid of these pesky blotches:

Method 1: Use a Liquid Detergent

Using a liquid detergent is one of the easiest ways to remove the spill and get back to dinner. First, mix two teaspoons of liquid detergent in one quart of cold water. Then, put the fabric in the solution, making sure it’s submerged entirely. Leave your Zara clothing in solution for fifteen minutes, then rinse with cold water. Finally, wash as usual.

Method 2: Use Ammonia and Water

Another great way to clean your Zara clothing is to create an ammonia and water solution. This method is effective on more stubborn stains, and it’s also useful for pre-treating any stain before using the washing machine. Simply mix one tablespoon of ammonia into one cup of cold water, and use the solution to dampen a cloth or paper towel. Use this to dab and gently rub the stain until it's gone, then rinse with cold water.

Method 3: Use White Vinegar and Water

If the stain is still lingering after you’ve used aforementioned methods, try soaking your Zara clothing in white vinegar and cold water. Simply mix one tablespoon of white vinegar into one quart of cold water, submerge stained area, and let it sit for thirty minutes. Afterward, wash as usual.

Method 4: Try Baking Soda

For really stubborn sparkling wine stains, baking soda is an excellent option. Create a paste by mixing two tablespoons of baking soda with two tablespoons of cold water. Rub paste onto the stain, let it sit for thirty minutes, then rinse off with cold water. Then, wash as usual.

With these four methods, you can easily and quickly remove even the toughest sparkling wine stains from your Zara clothing. So go ahead – enjoy your glass of bubbly without stressing over the potential mess!
