The first step is to act quickly. The faster that you clean up a sparkling wine stain, the easier it will be to remove it. Not being quick enough may result in the stain setting, making it much more difficult to get rid of.

Begin by blotting the stain with a soft cloth. Grab a dry cloth, and dab the stained area. Avoid rubbing or brushing the material, as this could spread stain further or damage the fabric. Repeat blotting process a few times until you have removed most of the liquid.

Next, it's time to treat the stain. Based on the material of your wedges, you'll need to choose the right type of cleaning agent. For natural materials such as wool and cotton, use a white vinegar and water solution with a 4:1 ratio. For synthetic fabrics, like polyester, opt for a detergent and warm water solution.

Apply the treatment directly onto the stain, and then gently brush the area with a soft bristle brush. If you don't have a soft brush available, you can use a cloth. With both methods make sure to apply pressure in a circular motion. This should help to break up the stains.

Finally, wash the wedges. Put it into the washing machine, and use cold water instead of hot. You'll also want to select the gentlest cycle, as this helps to protect the fabric further. Once complete, hang the wedges up to air dry, avoiding direct sunlight and heat.

That concludes our guide on how to remove sparkling wine stains from wedges. If you follow these steps, you'll have your wedges looking as good as new.
