Nobody wants to be left with permanent reminders of an incomplete toast for a job well done, but when your uniform has been covered in sparkling wine, it can be hard to know how to proceed. Don't worry, though- the solution is easier than you think.

The first step is to blot away any excess liquid on the surface of uniform. Use plain white paper towels or a clean cloth that's been dampened with cold water. Don't rub fabric, as this will only make stain worse and spread it further.
Mix one part laundry detergent with two parts cold water. Test the solution on a small part of the uniform before using it, just to ensure the fabric won't be damaged by the detergent.
Once you're sure the detergent isn't going to ruin your uniform, soak the stained area for about 30 minutes. Don't leave it in too long, or you could end up with a faded spot on fabric.
After soaking the uniform, put it through a regular laundry cycle. Then, hang it out to air dry or use your dryer's lowest setting.
