When it comes to UGGs and other suede shoes, you want to be careful about cleaning them so as not to damage the material. If you act quickly after spilling sparkling wine, removing the stain will be no problem. Follow these steps for getting rid of the ugly marks:
- Act fast - The sooner you deal with stain, the better! As soon as it happens, blot up as much of the liquid as possible with a paper towel or cloth. Make sure to move carefully, dabbing the surface and working your way outward.
- Mix up a solution - For most types of stains, you’ll need a solution of equal parts water and white vinegar. Prepare a cup or bowl of this mixture and have it in front of you.
- Grab a sponge - Get a damp sponge and squeeze out any excess water. Don’t make it too wet, just enough so that it won’t damage the suede material.
- Apply the solution - Dip the sponge into water/vinegar solution. Gently rub the sponge over the affected area, working in circles and taking care to be gentle with the suede material.
- Use an eraser - If stain persists, grab a pencil eraser and gently scrub the stain with it. You should see stain start to come off.
- Clean the area - Take another dry cloth and use it to dry up any leftover liquid from the cleaning process. Make sure to keep the UGGs as dry as possible.
- Apply a protector - To make sure the UGGs stay clean and free from stains, apply a protector. This can help resist dirt, liquids, and other spills in the future.
And that's it! With these seven steps, you can easily remove sparkling wine stains from your UGGs and make them look like new again. Good luck!
