When you first notice the stain, try to absorb as much of the liquid as possible by gently blotting the area with a paper towel or rag. If the fabric is delicate, use a lint-free cloth instead so you don't damage it further.
Mix two teaspoons of salt with warm water in a bowl to make a paste. Dip the cloth into the paste, and then use your fingers to apply it to the stain in circular motions. Let the mixture sit for five minutes, then rinse with cold water.
Once the salt-water paste has been removed, take a non-gel toothpaste and spread it on the stain. Then, cover the stain with bubble wrap and press down on it firmly. Finally, rub the bubble wrap with an ice cube until the stain disappears.
Once you've removed the stain, it's important to launder the garment. Follow laundry instructions on the label to ensure that your traditional dress looks as good as new.
Cleaning sparkling wine stains from your traditional dress isn't a hard task. With a few household items and some patience, you can have your dress looking perfect again.
