What You Need

Gather the following materials:

  • White vinegar
  • Baking soda
  • Dish soap
  • Warm water
  • Soft cloths
  • Old toothbrush or soft-bristled brush

Step 1: Blotting the Stain

Begin by blotting the stained area with a soft cloth or paper towel. This will help to absorb any remaining liquid and prevent it from spreading. Do not rub stain, as this could spread it further and make it harder to remove.

Step 2: Removing Stain with Vinegar

Mix equal parts white vinegar and warm water. Dip a cloth into the mixture and gently rub stained area. The vinegar will help to break down the sparkling wine residue and make it easier to remove. Rinse the area after a few minutes and then blot dry.

Step 3: Using Dish Soap and Baking Soda

If the stain is still present, mix a few drops of dish soap with baking soda to form a paste. Gently rub the paste into stained area with an old toothbrush or soft-bristled brush and let it sit for 10-15 minutes. Rinse the area with warm water, then blot dry.

Step 4: Final Cleaning with Warm Water

Finally, use a cloth soaked in warm water to remove any remaining residue from the stained area. Allow the area to air-dry completely before returning toy to its original state.

And That's It!

With these steps, your toys should be sparkling clean and free of any sparkling wine stains!
