Get Rid of Sparkling Wine Stains on Your Tights in No Time

Tights can be tricky to clean, especially if you’ve got an unfortunate sparkling wine stain. Fortunately, it’s possible to remove sparkling wine stains from tights with the right supplies and a little patience. Here’s what you need to do:
- Start by blotting up as much of the sparkling wine as you can with a paper towel or kitchen towel. Be sure to press down firmly, but don’t rub too hard or you could damage the fabric.
- Mix one tablespoon of liquid detergent with 1/4 cup of lukewarm water. Dip a clean cloth into mixture and gently dab it onto stained area. Work the detergent into the fabric and allow it to sit for a few minutes before blotting it dry.
- Rinse the tights with cold water to remove any residue. If the stained area is still visible, repeat steps 2 and 3 until the stain is gone.
- Once stain is gone, hang the tights up to air dry. Do not place them in the dryer, as heat will set the stain.
