The first step is to gather a few household supplies such as a soft brush, a cloth, a white vinegar solution, and liquid dish soap. Begin by using the brush to brush away any excess sparkling wine remaining on the suede. Next, create a mixture of 1 part white vinegar and 2 parts warm water, and dampen the cloth with the solution. Gently dab the stain with the cloth, being careful not to rub suede too hard.

If the stain is still visible, mix a bit of liquid dish soap into the remaining solution, and dab at stain again. Once the stain is gone, rinse the area with a clean, damp cloth and pat dry. Once the suede is dry, use the brush to smooth out the nap of the fabric and restore its original texture.

You can follow the same process if you have stained leather with sparkling wine as well. Simply use the same mixture of white vinegar and liquid dish soap, but be sure to test it in an inconspicuous area of the leather before applying it to the entire surface.

Sparkling wine stains don’t have to ruin your favorite suede and leather items – with a few simple steps, you can easily remove them!
