Step 1: Blot the Stain Immediately

The first step is to immediately blot up as much of the stain as possible. Using a towel or some paper towels, blot the stained area to absorb as much of the liquid as possible. Do not rub the stain in order to avoid further spread. Occasionally change the paper towel to get a clear idea of how much of the stain has been absorbed.

Step 2: Use Soap Solution

To further sanitise the area, use warm water with a few drops of mild detergent or dishwashing soap. Dip a soft cloth into the solution and gently dab at the stained area until it is no longer visible. Make sure to use gentle motions when rubbing.

Step 3: Let it Dry

Let the fabric dry for about an hour or two before taking further action. Turn shoes inside out or let them sit in the sun (if possible) so that the fabric dries up faster. Do not use a blow dryer to speed up the process as it could damage the shoe material.

Step 4: Use White Vinegar

If the stain persists, try using white vinegar. Prepare a solution of equal parts of vinegar and water then dip a cloth into the solution and dab at the stained area. This should remove any remaining trace of stain. Do not soak the material in order to avoid damaging the fabric.

Step 5: Rinse it Off

Once the stain is removed, rinse off the material with cool water to remove any residue. Use a clean cloth to wipe off excess moisture from the sneaker fabric.

Conclusion

Sparkling wine stains can be difficult to remove from sneakers. But with the right cleaning methods, you can easily and safely remove the stains without damaging your shoes.
