The first step to tackling a sparkling wine stain is to get rid of all of the excess liquid. Take a clean cloth and blot up as much of the remaining wetness as possible. Do not rub the fabric together or use any extra pressure – just gently press against the area until the excess liquid is lifted.
Once you’ve blotted away the excess liquid, you can move on to making a cleaning solution. For this, you will need some white vinegar, a few drops of laundry detergent, and some cold water. Mix these ingredients together until you have a thick paste.
Now it’s time to apply cleaning solution to the stain. Use a soft brush or cloth and gently rub the paste into the stained area. Leave the paste on the fabric for at least 10 minutes before wiping it off. Make sure not to scrub too hard – the fabric could tear or the garment could be damaged.
Once you’ve let the paste sit for at least 10 minutes, you can rinse the fabric with cold water. After rinsing, take garment and air dry it – do not put it in the dryer until you are certain that all of the stain has been removed.
