The first step to removing a sparkling wine stain from silk satin is to rinse off any excess liquid as soon as possible. Pour cold water over the area to help reduce the size of the stain.
Gently massage a small amount of dishwasher detergent into the stained area and leave it for around 10 minutes. This will help to break down the stain and make it easier to remove.
After 10 minutes, take a lint-free cloth and gently blot the stained area. Do not rub or scrub the area as this can damage fabric. Repeat this process until the stain is gone.
Once the stain has been removed, treat the area with cold water or a gentle fabric cleaning solution. Then, rinse with cold water again and lay the silk satin flat to air dry.
