We all love cool refreshment of a chilled glass of sparkling wine, but sometimes accidents can happen and stains can end up on our clothing. Fortunately for us, these pesky marks aren't difficult to remove if you take correct steps.

Removing Sparkling Wine Stains from Shorts

The most important thing to consider when trying to remove any type of stain is timing. The sooner you begin treating the stain, the better chance you have at removing it. With that in mind, here are the steps you need to take:

  • As soon as you notice stain, remove shorts and turn them inside out. This will prevent the stain from settling in and making removal more difficult.
  • Once the shorts are turned inside out, rinse the area with cold water. If possible, use a brush or a cloth to gently agitate the area. This will help begin the removal process.
  • Mix a solution of cold water and laundry detergent and apply it to the stained area. Make sure to work the detergent into the fabric to get it deep into the stain.
  • Let the solution sit for 5 minutes.
  • Rinse area thoroughly with cold water. Repeat this step until water runs clear.
  • If stain is still visible, pour a bit of white vinegar directly onto the stained area and let it sit for 10-15 minutes.
  • Rinse the area once again and let shorts air dry completely.

If you follow these steps, your shorts should be stain-free in no time!
