When it comes to getting out sparkling wine stains, the key is quick action. As soon as you realize the wine is going to spill, remove the garment in question and lay it out flat on a towel or piece of cloth. You'll also want to blot up any excess liquid in the area to minimize the damage done.
Treating sparkling wine stains as quickly as possible is important. To maximize your chances of completely removing the stain, you'll want to mix 1/4 teaspoon of dishwashing liquid and one cup of warm water in a bowl. Then, apply a small amount of the mixture directly onto the stain using a clean cloth. Gently massage the mixture into the stained area for about 30 seconds. Once finished, rinse the fabric with lukewarm running water.
If the stain remains after your initial attempt, repeat process as many times as necessary. Once the stain has been removed, it's time to dry the garment. The best way to do this is to hang it up in a well-ventilated area rather than placing it in a clothes dryer. This will help ensure that the stain is completely gone when the garment is dry.
While it can be frustrating and inconvenient to deal with a sparkling wine stain on your shirt, you don't need to worry. With the above tips, you can get your shirt looking as good as new in no time.
