There's nothing worse than ruining a beautiful shift dress with an unexpected spill. But if it happens to be a sparkling wine stain, fear not! You can easily remove the stains with just a few household items.
Steps for Cleaning Sparkling Wine Stains from a Shift Dress
- Grab a paper towel or cloth and blot the stained area until all excess liquid is removed. Do not rub the fabric, as this could cause the stain to spread and set in deeper.
- Mix one tablespoon of detergent with two cups of warm water. Dip your stain remover cloth into the mixture and squeeze out any excess liquid.
- Using a circular motion, apply detergent solution gently to the spilled area, working your way from the outside in. Do not scrub too hard, as this can cause the fabric to tear.
- Once you’ve applied the mixture, let it sit for a few minutes before rinsing with cold water.
- Once you’ve rinsed the solution off, use a wet cloth to dab at the stained area. This will help remove any residue left behind.
- If there are still some stubborn spots, mix a solution of one part white vinegar and one part warm water. Again, apply the mixture with a cloth, rinse off with cold water and then wipe down with a damp cloth to remove residue.
- For a final touch, hang your shift dress up on a clothes hanger and let it air dry.
With these simple steps, you'll be able to easily remove sparkling wine stains from your shift dress. Goodbye, pesky spill!
