When dealing with sparkling wine stains, it’s important to act quickly. As soon as you notice the stain, grab a cloth or paper towel and dab (don’t rub) affected area. Be sure not to spread the stain any further. This will help to remove some of excess liquid and prevent the stain from setting.

Once you’ve removed as much liquid as possible, spray the stain with a bit of white vinegar and water. Give it two or three sprays and then let it sit for about five minutes. The vinegar will act as a natural disinfectant and help to break down the stain.

After the five minutes is up, grab a clean cloth and carefully dab the area. If stain has lightened, repeat the process until it is gone. If the stain persists, it’s time to break out the heavy duty tools.

Mix one part baking soda with one part warm water and stir until it forms a paste-like consistency. Rub the paste onto stain and let it sit for 10-15 minutes. After the wait is over, use a clean cloth to scrub the area and rinse off paste.

If stain is still visible, reach for a stronger cleaning solution. Mix one part detergent with two parts warm water, apply solution to the stain, and let it sit for 10-15 minutes. After the wait is up, scrub the area with a clean cloth and rinse off with warm water.

Once you’ve finished, allow the fabric to air dry and inspect the area to make sure the stain is gone. With a bit of patience and the right cleaning tools, you’ll be able to tackle any sparkling wine stains that come your way.
