It's happened to all of us--a little too much bubbly and now your scrubs have a few stubborn stains. Whether it's a celebratory glass or an accidental spill, it can be tough to get rid of the marks.
What You'll Need
- Dish soap
- Non-bleach laundry detergent
- Vinegar
- Baking soda
- Sponge
- Towel or rag
Steps for Removing Sparkling Wine Stains from Scrubs
- First, rinse the stained area in cold water. This will help to prevent the sparkling wine from setting in the fabric too deeply.
- Mix one tablespoon of dish soap with two tablespoons of white vinegar and some warm water in a bowl. Stir until the mixture forms a soapy lather.
- Soak a sponge in the mixture and use it to rub the stained area until the stain is gone.
- Rinse the scrub top with cold water to remove the soap.
- If the stain has not entirely disappeared, mix a tablespoon of non-bleach laundry detergent with one tablespoon of baking soda. Add some warm water and stir until the mixture forms a paste.
- Dab the paste onto the stained area and let it sit for about 10 minutes.
- Rinse the scrub top with cold water again.
- Repeat steps #5-7 if necessary.
- Finally, blot the stain with a damp towel or rag to remove any residue.
Now your scrubs should look as good as new!
