The first step is to soak up as much of the liquid as possible. Place a clean white cloth or paper towel over the stain, and press down gently. Do not rub the stain; this can cause it to spread. Then, pour some club soda onto stain and repeat blotting process to absorb the liquid.
Mix together a teaspoon of dishwashing liquid and a cup of warm water. Gently rub the mixture into the stained area, using a soft cloth. Allow the mixture to sit on the area for 10-15 minutes. Rinse area with cold water and blot dry.
If the stain remains, you can also try treating it with white vinegar. Mix half a cup of white vinegar with one cup of cold water. Apply the solution to stain and let it sit for 10 minutes. Rinse the fabric with cold water and blot dry.
Once you have treated the stain, lay the fabric flat in a cool, well-ventilated area and allow it to air dry.Do not put the fabric in the dryer until you are sure that the stain has been completely removed.
Removing stains from a sarong or other delicate fabric can be tricky - but it is possible! With these simple steps, you can get your favorite garment looking good as new.
