A decorative glass of champagne is always a festive way to celebrate any special occasion. Unfortunately, sometimes accidents occur and some of the bubbly liquid ends up on your clothes. If you find yourself with champagne stains on your overalls, know that these can be removed with a little bit of effort and the right cleaning products.
Step 1: Gather Supplies
To remove champagne stains from overalls, you will need:
- Old towels or paper towels
- Enzyme detergent like Tide with bleach alternative or Biz
- Cleaning gloves
- Mixing bowl
- Warm water
- OxiClean MaxForce Laundry Stain Remover Spray
Step 2: Blotting & Soaking
The first step in removing champagne stains from overalls is to gently blot the stain with some paper towels or an old towel. This helps absorb excess moisture and prevents it from spreading further across the fabric. Once you have absorbed any excess liquid, fill up a mixing bowl with warm water. Place your overalls into the bowl and let them soak for a few hours. Make sure the stained area is completely submerged in water.
Step 3: Pre-Treat the Stain
Now that you’ve soaked the overalls, it’s time to pre-treat the stained area. To do this, put on some gloves and mix together two tablespoons of enzyme detergent with a cup of warm water. Take a cloth, dip it in the solution, and add a few drops of OxiClean MaxForce Laundry Stain Remover Spray to it. Rub the cloth over the stained area until it is completely saturated with the mixture. Then, let it sit for 15 minutes.
Step 4: Final Cleaning Process
When the pre-treatment is done, take the overalls out from the mixing bowl and rinse the stained area with cold water. Next, use a cotton swab or cloth to apply a small amount of OxiClean MaxForce Laundry Stain Remover Spray directly onto the stain. Allow it to penetrate the fabric for 5 minutes before rinsing. Finally, wash the overalls in a washing machine according to instructions. The champagne stains should be gone and your overalls should look as good as new!
