As soon as possible, remove the excess sparkling wine from your shoes. Use a cloth or paper towel to blot away liquid, then lightly brush away any lingering residue. Make sure to avoid rubbing the stain, which may work it into fabric and make it harder to remove.

Once the excess liquid has been removed, sprinkle baking soda directly on the affected area. Let the baking soda sit for 15-20 minutes, then gently brush the area to help absorb any remaining moisture. Afterward, rinse off the baking soda with warm water.

For tougher stains, combine equal parts household bleach and cold water in a bowl. Using a soft toothbrush, apply the solution to stained area, then gently scrub. Be sure to keep the solution away from the other colors on your shoes, as bleach may discolor them.

Once you've finished scrubbing, rinse off the bleach solution with warm water. If the stain still remains, repeat the process.

Finally, allow your shoes to air dry completely before wearing them again. And, when you're finished, you'll have sparkly clean New Balance shoes that will look as good as new!
