When it comes to cleaning, marcella can be a tricky fabric to work with. The fibers are delicate and easy to stain, and the nature of sparkling wine means that it can leave permanent marks on the fabric if not treated properly and quickly. But don't worry! Follow these simple steps and your beloved marcella will look as good as new.

Step 1: Blot up Excess Wine

The key to getting sparkling wine stains out of marcella is to act quickly and blot up any excess liquid right away. To do this, use a paper towel or a sponge and press gently against the stain. Do not rub the stain in circles or you may spread it further.

Step 2: Pre-Treat Stain

Once you've blotted up all of the excess liquid, pre-treat the stain by applying a small amount of liquid detergent directly to affected area. Let the detergent sit for about 10 minutes before proceeding.

Step 3: Rinse Stain

After the detergent has had a chance to sit, rinse the stain with warm water. Make sure to rinse from the back of the fabric, moving forward so that the stain does not spread further. Once you've rinsed the area, blot up any excess moisture with a paper towel.

Step 4: Launder Normally

Once the stain has been pre-treated and rinsed, launder the fabric normally according to the care instructions. Be sure to use cool water and a gentle cycle.
