First, you need to remove as much of sparkling wine as possible from hoodie. The best way to do this is to blot the stain with a cloth or paper towel. Make sure that you are only blotting and not rubbing—rubbing will spread stain further, making it more difficult to remove.
Once you have blotted up the majority of the wine, pre-treat the stain with a laundry detergent or special pre-treatment product. Let the solution sit for several minutes to give it time to work on stain.
Now, launder your hoodie as you normally would. If stain is still visible, don't let it go through the dryer just yet. Instead, wash it again with a stronger laundry detergent and let it air dry. Once the stain has disappeared and the hoodie is completely dry, you can put it in dryer to finish the cleaning process.
If the stain persists after multiple attempts, you may want to try an enzyme cleaner on the affected area. Enzyme cleaners are great at breaking down proteins in stains, including those from wines and beers. Apply the cleaner to the stain and let it sit for around half an hour before washing it according to the instructions above.
If you follow all of these steps, you should be able to get the stains out of your hoodie and get it looking like new. Just remember that when it comes to cleaning wine stains, patience and persistence are key.
