Sparkling wine stains are an unfortunately common occurrence at parties and special occasions. Whether you’re the cause or someone else is, you want to get rid of those stains as soon as possible. The good news is that cleaning sparkling wine stains on headphones is a relatively easy process.

What You’ll Need

  • A sponge
  • Lemon juice
  • Distilled water

Instructions

  1. Mix one part lemon juice with one part distilled water in a bowl.
  2. Dip a sponge into the mixture and squeeze out excess liquid.
  3. Gently rub the stained area with the damp sponge and be sure not to scrub too hard.
  4. Be sure to rinse the sponge often as you work to remove all of the stain.
  5. Once the stain is completely removed, rinse the headphones under cool running water and allow to air dry.

Tips and Tricks

  • If the stain is particularly stubborn, you can soak the stain in lemon and water mixture for 1-2 minutes before cleaning.
  • If you don't have any lemons on hand, club soda, white vinegar, and rubbing alcohol will also work to remove the stain.
  • When using these alternative solutions, use a cotton ball or cloth instead of a sponge.
