Use Club Soda or Seltzer Water

A really easy way to remove a small sparkling wine stain is to blot it with club soda or seltzer water on a cloth. Start by applying the liquid to stain, then use a damp cloth to gently rub the affected area. Applying pressure could spread stain further.

Create a Stain-Removing Mixture

If club soda doesn't work on its own, you can create a mixture of one tablespoon of white vinegar, 1/2 teaspoon of liquid laundry detergent, and one cup of warm water. Mix the ingredients together and dab the stain with solution. Once the stain has been soaked, you can use a scrub brush to gently rub the stained area clean. Rinse the area with a wet cloth and then leave it to air dry.

Prevention is The Best Cure

No matter how hard you try, however, there will always be a chance of you spilling something on your hat. To protect it from staining, use a protective coating such as Scotchgard or Nikwax Fabric and Leather Proof, which will form an invisible barrier between the material and any potential stains.
