Gathering Supplies

Before you begin, make sure to have all the supplies you need. To clean a sparkling wine stain from corduroy, you will need:

  • Small bowl
  • Dishwashing liquid
  • White cloth
  • White towel
  • Iron

Preparing the Stain

Once you have gathered your supplies, you can begin. Start by lightly wetting the stained area with cold water. It’s important not to saturate your clothing with water, as this could cause more damage. Then, gently dab the area with a white cloth to absorb extra moisture.

Creating the Mixture

In a small bowl, mix one teaspoon of dishwashing liquid with two cups of warm water. Stir the mixture until blended.

Cleaning the Stain

Soak a white cloth in the soapy mixture and apply it to the stained area. Gently scrub cloth over the stain until it begins to lift. Then, rinse the area with cold water and repeat the process if needed. Be sure to avoid vigorous scrubbing and rubbing, as this could cause further damage.

Drying Area

Once the stain has been removed, dry the area with a white towel. Finally, use an iron (on its lowest heat setting) to dry area completely.
