Step 1: Rinse With Cold Water

Start by quickly rinsing the stained area with cold water as soon as possible. This simple step can help minimize the stain and prevent it from setting into the material.

Step 2: Create a Soap Solution

Mix 1 teaspoon of clear dish soap with 1 cup of warm water in a bowl. Use a hydrated sponge or cloth to create a lather with the solution and gently scrub the stained area. Allow the soap solution to sit on the stain for 3-5 minutes.

Step 3: Rinse with Clean Water

Rinse stained area thoroughly with clean, room temperature water. Blot dry with a clean paper towel or cloth.

Step 4: Treat with Vinegar

If the stain persists, pour white vinegar onto stain until it is saturated. Leave it on the stained area for several minutes, then rinse the area with water. Blot the area dry.

Step 5: Launder

Finally, launder the item according to its care instructions. Be sure to double check that the stain has been completely removed before drying.
