As soon as you notice the stain, grab a white cloth or paper towel and blot the area until the liquid is no longer being absorbed. Do not rub the fabric as this can spread the stain further.
Mix a small amount of shampoo with some lukewarm water and using a sponge, gently rub mixture into the fabric to help break up stain. Leave it to sit for a few minutes before rinsing with cold water.
Mix one tablespoon of baking soda with two tablespoons of water to form a paste. Apply the paste to the stain and allow it to dry completely before brushing it away with a soft bristle brush.
Mix one part of white vinegar with four parts of hot water. Add a few drops of liquid dishwashing soap and stir solution. Use a cloth or sponge to dab the solution onto stain. Let it sit for a few minutes before rinsing it off with cool water.
Mix equal parts of hydrogen peroxide and salt together. Using an old toothbrush, apply mixture to the stained area and let it sit for 30 minutes before rinsing it off.
Once you have completed all of the previous steps, rinse the area with cold water. If the stain is still visible, repeat all of the steps until stain is gone.
Sparkling wine stains can be tricky to remove from a collared shirt, but if you follow these simple steps, you should be able to get rid of the stain in no time. Be sure to pretreat the fabric before washing, and if stain is still visible, repeat the steps until it is gone.
