Step 1: Blot the Stain Immediately

When you first notice the sparkling wine stain, the very first thing to do is to blot the stain with a clean cloth or paper towel. Blotting the stain will help to lift the sparkling wine before it sets in the cashmere fabric.

Step 2: Make a Paste from Baking Soda and Water

Mix together some baking soda and water to create a paste and use a soft brush or cloth to rub the paste onto the stain. This will help to absorb some of the fluid as well as aid in lifting out the stain. After about 10-15 minutes, use a damp cloth to remove the paste from the stained area.

Step 3: Add a Small Amount of Detergent

Add a small amount of detergent or dishwashing liquid to the stain to help break down molecules and cut through grease. Rub the detergent gently into the fabric with your fingertips. When done, rinse the detergent away with cold water. Repeat this process a few times until the stain has been successfully removed.

Step 4: Rinse and Dry the Cashmere Cloth

Once the stain has been removed, it's important to rinse the area thoroughly with cold water. After rinsing, dry garment by laying it flat to air dry.
