The key to removing any wine stain is to act quickly after the spill. First, soak the area of camisole containing the stain in room temperature water. This will help prevent the stain from setting in further.
Once the area has been soaked, create a cleaning solution by mixing equal parts dish soap, hydrogen peroxide, and white vinegar. This mixture should create a white foam-like consistency.
Now that you have your cleaning solution, begin to blot stained spot using a white cloth or paper towel. Blot the stain instead of rubbing it in order to avoid pushing the stain further into fabric.
Apply the cleaning solution directly to the stain and let it sit for several minutes. Then, use a brush or cloth to work the solution into fabric. This will help lift the stain.
Rinse the camisole in cold water and repeat Steps 3 and 4 until the stain is gone. If the stain persists, you may need to repeat several times or use a stronger cleaning solution.
After you’ve removed the stain, allow the camisole to air dry. Then, if necessary, repeat Steps 3-5 until the stain is completely gone. It’s important not to put the garment in the dryer before the stain is completely gone as this could cause stain to set in further.
