Materials Needed:

  • White vinegar
  • Baking soda
  • Spray bottle
  • Soft bristled brush
  • Paper towel or cloth

Steps:

  1. Mix one part white vinegar with two parts baking soda to create a paste.
  2. Using a brush or cloth, rub the paste onto the stained areas of hair accessory.
  3. Leave the paste on for a few minutes, then wipe it off with a paper towel or cloth.
  4. Fill a spray bottle with straight vinegar and lightly mist the stained areas.
  5. Scrub the stained areas using the soft bristled brush and let it sit for a few minutes.
  6. Wipe away the vinegar and any remaining paste with a damp cloth.
  7. Let barrette air dry.
