Club soda’s effervescent carbonation helps to lift and remove sparkling wine stains from porcelain, glass, and other non-porous surfaces. Soak a cloth in club soda, then use it to scrub the stained area. For tougher spots, let the soaked cloth sit on the stain for 10-15 minutes. Then rinse the item with cool water.
White vinegar has natural degreasing properties that make it an effective cleaner for tough stains. Mix a solution of equal parts white vinegar and warm water, and use a soft sponge to scrub away the residue. After cleaning, rinse the baking dish with clean water.
If white vinegar doesn’t get the job done, sprinkle some salt over the stained area and use a damp sponge to scrub salt into the baking dish. The abrasive properties of salt help remove any remaining residue. Rinse the baking dish afterward.
Baking soda is a natural abrasive cleaner and can help get rid of tough wine stains. Make a paste with three parts baking soda and one part warm water. Spread the paste over the stained area, let it sit for 10-15 minutes, then use a damp cloth to scrub away the remaining residue. Rinse the baking dish with warm water.
As a last resort, you can use hydrogen peroxide to remove stubborn sparkling wine stains. Be sure to test the hydrogen peroxide in an inconspicuous area before using it on the entire stain. Once you’ve determined that it won’t discolor the baking dish, soak a rag in the hydrogen peroxide and apply to the stain. Let the rag sit for 5 minutes, then use a damp cloth to scrub away the remaining residue. Rinse baking dish afterward.
