It happens in an instant - that lovely glass of bubbly has become spilt all over your favorite new ASICS shoes, leaving an unsightly red mark. Don't worry though, removing sparkling wine stains from ASICS is easy! Follow these eight simple steps and you'll have your shoes looking like new again in no time.

1. Blot Immediately

The first thing you should always do when cleaning any type of stain is to blot it immediately. Use a soft cloth, paper towel, or sponge to absorb as much of the liquid as you can. This will help to keep the stain from setting and make it easier to remove.

2. Apply Detergent

Once you've blotted the spill, apply a dab of laundry detergent directly to stain. Allow the detergent to soak into the fibers of the fabric for 10-15 minutes before moving on to the next step.

3. Scrub with a Soft Toothbrush

After detergent has soaked in, use a soft-bristled toothbrush to scrub the stained area in a circular motion. You'll want to be careful not to press too hard or scrub too vigorously as this could cause further damage to the fabric. Keep scrubbing until you notice the stain beginning to fade.

4. Rinse

Once you're done scrubbing, rinse area with cold water. Be sure to use only a gentle stream of water to avoid further damage to the fabric.

5. Soak in Warm Water

Fill a bowl or bucket with warm water and dissolve a teaspoon of dishwashing liquid into it. Submerge the stained portion of the shoes into water and let them soak for 20-30 minutes.

6. Rinse Again

Once the shoes have finished soaking, rinse them with cold water again and dry with a clean cloth. Do not put them in the dryer as this could cause stain to set.

7. Apply Stain Remover

If the stain is still visible after rinsing, liberally apply a stain remover designed for use on synthetic fabrics. Let it sit for 10-15 minutes before rinsing again.

8. Repeat if Necessary

Depending on the severity of the stain, you may need to repeat some or all of these steps. Be patient and keep up with the routine until the stain is gone.

With these easy steps, you should be able to get sparkling wine stains out of your ASICS shoes without any trouble. Follow the instructions and you'll have your shoes looking good as new!
