Removing Sparkling Wine Stains From an Apron
- Grab your supplies. You'll need white vinegar, baking soda, a soft-bristled brush and old towels.
- Mix 1/4 cup of baking soda and 1/4 cup of white vinegar together in a bowl and stir until it forms a paste.
- Dampen area where stain is located with a wet cloth and gently rub the paste into the stain. Allow paste to sit for five minutes.
- Using the soft-bristled brush, lightly scrub the stain in a circular motion. Rinse the area with cool water.
- If the stain persists, mix another batch of the paste and repeat steps three and four.
- Once the stain is gone, rinse one more time with cool water.
- Allow the fabric to air dry, then check the area for remaining stains.
Additional Tips
- Be sure to use cold water, as hot water can set the stain.
- Make sure to use white vinegar and not any other type, as other types may contain dyes that can cause staining.
- If the stain persists after several attempts, consider using a stain remover or bleaching stained area.
