As with any stain, your first step is to blot the excess liquid using a paper towel or cloth. Avoid rubbing the stain as this can cause it to spread and worsen. Simply press the towel gently against stained area and repeat until you have removed as much liquid as possible.
Once the excess liquid has been blotted away, apply a small amount of detergent onto the stained area and scrub gently to encourage a lather. The lather should draw out remaining liquid from the fabric. Allow the detergent lather to sit on fabric for approximately 10 minutes before rinsing.
Finally, rinse the fabric with cold water to remove any remaining detergent. Once the fabric is clean, hang it up or lay it flat to air dry. Make sure you do not put the activewear in the dryer as this will set the stain.
