Using a paper towel, dab at the stain to lift as much of the residue as possible. Use gentle pressure to avoid pressing soy sauce deeper into the fabric.
Mix one teaspoon of dishwashing liquid and cold water. Submerge stain in the mixture and leave it for 5 minutes. Once that time has passed, use a gentle scrubbing motion to remove any remaining residue.
Place the yoga pants in a washing machine and wash them on a cold cycle using mild detergent. If the clothing item is not colorfast, then do not use bleach, as this could fade fabric or cause discoloration. If stain persists after following these steps, repeat pre-treatment and washing cycle before proceeding to next step.
If the stain is still present after two washes, try this method. Mix two parts white vinegar to one part baking soda. Apply the solution to stain and let sit for 10 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with cold water and air dry. If stain is still visible, try repeating the method once more.
If the stain still persists after all of these steps, try repeating any of the previous steps until the stain is gone. Do not give up - with enough persistence, the soy sauce stain will come out!
