Removing soy sauce stains from Venetian lace requires some special processes and techniques. Here are some easy steps to follow for cleaning soy sauce stains from Venetian lace.
Before attempting to clean stain, it’s important to blot up as much soy sauce as possible. Place an absorbent cloth over stain and press down firmly to absorb the soy sauce.
Fill a bowl with cold water and apply directly to stain. Gently rub the fabric together in a circular motion, being careful not to rub too hard. Do not scrub the stain as this could cause more damage to the delicate Venetian lace.
Once you have rinsed the stain, apply a small amount of detergent to the stained area. Rub the detergent gently into the fabric in a circular motion, letting it sit for a few minutes.
Rinse the fabric once more with cold water. This will help remove the detergent and any remaining soy sauce. You may need to repeat Steps 2-4 several times to completely remove the stain.
Once the stain has been removed, hang the fabric up to dry. Do not place fabric in dryer as this could cause further damage to the lace.
If soy sauce stain still remains, you may need to use a stain remover. Be sure to test the stain remover on an inconspicuous area of the fabric first before applying it to the stained area. Work stain remover into fabric in a gentle, circular motion.
Once the stain has been completely removed, it’s time to wash the fabric as you usually would. Follow the laundering instructions that are provided with fabric or on the label.
By following these simple steps, you can easily remove soy sauce stains from Venetian lace.
