1. Pre-Treat the Stain with a Detergent Solution

Mix a mild detergent with warm water to form a solution and apply it directly to the stained area. Blot the solution into the stain with a cloth or sponge. It’s important to blot rather than scrub or rub the stain, as this can spread the stain further.

2. Wash the Garment in Hot Water

Once the pre-treatment is finished, it’s time to wash the garment in hot water. Be sure to follow garment’s care instructions, as some Uniqlo items may need to be dry cleaned. For items that can be washed in a machine, add a stain remover like Zout before placing the clothing in the washer. Let the garment soak for at least 15 minutes before washing.

3. Air Dry the Garment

When the garment is done washing, check to make sure the stain has been removed. If not, repeat the pre-treatment and washing process again. Once the stain is gone, it’s important to air dry the garment to prevent any color bleeding. Avoid using a dryer unless the item is labeled “Machine Dry”.

4. Put the Garment in Dry Cleaner

If the soy sauce stain still won’t budge after multiple attempts, then it may be best to take the garment to a professional dry cleaner. They have special techniques and enzymes that can help remove stubborn stains quickly.
